  Types

1. Movement


Refers to the position according to the verb.

Examples:

a. Universitario moved up to the 1st place in 2021 League 1st Peru.
b. His lips curled up in a disgusting situation.
c. She needs to lie down for a bit.


2. Increase/decrease


Relates to things that go up or down.

Examples:

a. Please, turn up the volume, I like the music.
b. They need to save up for a car.
c. We have to cut down my hours.


3. Better/worse


It is about the value scale of a product or situation.

Examples:

a. Their apathy wore down the teacher's lesson.
b. People dress up all the time.
c. She needs to trade up her cellphone for 800 dollars.


4. Start/end


It is similar when the day starts and finishes.

Examples:

a. I need to set up my own business.
b. The teacher sits down sometimes.
c. The pharmacist always closes down at 11 pm.


5. Completion


When it is to reach a limit.

Examples:

a. He will wind up in hospital.
b. I have used up all my savings.
c. She will live down this house.
