Read the text and answer the following questions.
My first personal experience at the lake
One day I told my father, “If I had known how to swim, I would
have gone to the lake.” The next morning
he woke me up at 6:00 a.m. We were going to the lake. We didn’t prepare anything, so I put a
life boat,
my bathing suit, a sunshade and my towel into the car. We gazed the sunrise on our way to
the lake.
I fastened my seatbelt and my father drove the paving road. “I wish I found some shells and
snails”, I said.
My father replied, “If we had gone to the beach, we would have found them.” Then, I was
worried because
there was no lifeguard while I was gazing the waves of the lake. The waters are not deep in
the lakes.
Suddenly, my father heaved me to my feet and played with me. We sunbathed and tried to swim.
Later on,
I saw some fumes coming out from the bushes, and it happened to be a picnic. If my father
had brought
a grill, we would have prepared some food. He usually boards up the grill base with some
metallic paper
because the taste of the meat results delicious. I finally loved the view of the huge cliffs
around the lake.
