First Conditional
After a reasonable possibility of condition, we use present or future actions. We are going to see four types.
Type 1:
| a. If we rent a house, we will sign an agreement. |
| If-clause (S. Present) Main-clause (future) |
| b. If she rents a room, she will have to respect the rules. |
| If-clause (S. Present) Main-clause (future) |
Note: We can use these sentences starting from the main-clause. In that case, don’t use comma (,).

Examples:
a. We will sign an agreement if we rent a house.
b. She will have to respect the rules if she rents a room.
Type 2:
| a. If we are expecting visitors, we will cook delicious dishes. |
| If-clause (P. Continuous) Main-clause (future) |
We will cook delicious dishes if we are expecting visitors. |
| b. If she is studying Chinese, she will travel to Asia. |
| If-clause (P. Continuous) Main-clause (future) |
She will travel to Asia if she is studying Chinese. |

Type 3:
| a. If you don’t have a DVD player, you can’t see the movies. |
| If-clause (S. Present) Main-clause (modals) |
You can’t see the movies if you don’t have a DVD player. |
| b. If Henry is going to a job interview, he should wear a suit. |
