Vocabulary

1. Answer booklet (n): /ˈænsər/ /ˈbʊklɪt/ Cuaderno de respuestas
A written reply or response in a booklet where students fill in their personal data and the instructions are written.
Example: Before students take the exam, read the instructions on the answer booklet.

2. Answer sheet (n): /ˈænsər/ /ʃit/ Hoja de respuestas
A written reply on a sheet of paper where the choices are marked.
Example: Students mark their answers on their answer sheets.

3. Be in charge of (v): /bi/ /ɪn/ /ʧɑrʤ/ /ɑv/ Estar a cargo de
Responsible for someone or something.
Example: Miss Fox is in charge of Listening and Speaking classes.

4. Belongings (n): /bɪˈlɔŋɪŋz/ Pertenencias
The things you own.
Example: After leaving school, make sure you take your belongings.

5. Effective (adj): /ɪˈfɛktɪv/ Efectivo
Someone or something that works well and produces the intended result.
Example: This English book is effective because I learned a lot.

6. Exam timetable (n): /ɪgˈzæm/ /ˈtaɪmˌteɪbəl/ Horario de exámenes
A list of dates and times that shows when the exams will happen.
Example: The students must check their exam dates on the exam timetable.
