Negative form
Examples:
a. You had better not watch a lot of TV when you have exams.
b. He had better not play videogames when you are studying.
c. We had better not call him to go out when he is studying.
Note: There is no contraction for had better and not.

Very Important:
The interrogative form with “had better” is not used. You can use the modal “should” to make questions.
